Motorcyclist, 48 Killed In Virginia Crash ID'd By State Police
Virginia State Police have identified the 48-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash over the weekend in Madison County. Lucio E. Weaver, of Madison, was heading south on Route 29 at a high rate of speed when he collided with a northbound 2012 Subaru Impreza turning left onto South Main Street around 5:20 p.m. Sunday, April 14, a spokesperson for the department said. Weaver died while in transport to a local hospital. He was wearing a helmet. The driver of the Subaru, a 32-year-old woman from Rochelle, suffered minor injuries in the crash and taken to UVA Medical Center for treatment. She …

Woman Held Hostage, Sexually Assaulted By Man She Met On Virginia Street: Cops
A 60-year-old Virginia man was arrested after holding a victim hostage and sexually assaulting her, police said. Teodros Girma, of Gainesville, approached a woman around 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 12 on Deming Drive, and went into the woman's apartment together, Prince William County police said. Girma prevented her from leaving and inappropriately touched her, police said. The victim eventually left the apartment and reported the incident to a family member who contacted the police. Girma was arrested and charged with abduction with intent to defile and sexual assault.

Police in Fairfax County have announced an arrest in a road rage shooting on I-66. Brian Fuentes Ruiz, 22, of Manassas, began closely following the victim's vehicle after they passed him on Compton Road near Centreville Road in Centreville, him around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, county police said. No arrests have been made by the Metropolitan Police Department after a teen girl was shot and killed in Southeast DC overnight, officials say. Plane Crashes, Overturns At Manassas Regional Airport
A plane crashed and overturned Sunday evening, April 14 at a Virginia airport. State police said that a single-engine Cessna ran off of a runway at the Manassas Regional Airport, struck a culvert and overturned at 8:15 p.m. Neither the pilot nor the one other passenger were injured.
