Frankly, I never heard of any animals eating plastic bags. I think they are smarter than that. What I have seen is they tear them apart to get to what is inside. Fish getting entrapped.by them probably yes. I seem to remember that we stopped using paper bags to save the trees. I re-use these small grocery bags constantly. I'm sure they will still be for sale and then I would have to buy them. "No good deed goes unpunished". Talk to me when we can eliminate all plastic bags. Just because they are bigger, they still don't break down. What we need to do is find a better product. What about bamboo disposable bags? They are sustainable and should break down.
