America's Best Restaurants has discovered a gem in Somerset County. 22 West Tap and Grill in Bridgewater will be featured on an episode of the popular online show, with filming set to take place at the end of the month. "America's Best Restaurants" is a weekly show that travels around the country spotlighting independent restaurants. Two Rounds Of Thunderstorms Predicted In NJ, PA: Here's Timing
The National Weather Service is predicting two rounds of thunderstorms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Thursday, May 23. The first is expected in the morning northwest of the I-95 corridor through noon, and the second in the afternoon and evening along the Jersey Shore and in South Jersey (see map above). It's certainly not convenient. Amtrak and NJ Transit customers were livid over service disruptions between Penn Station and Newark due to downed power lines blocking the tracks on Wednesday evening, May 22. In a statement posted to X, Amtrak said service was stopped at 5:36 p.m. with no estimation of restoration. As of 10 p.m., widespread delays were being reported by Amtrak. Amber Jones, a 28-year-old surgical technician from Monmouth County, died on May 15, surrounded by loved ones, according to her obituary on the Buckland Funeral Home website. Amber, affectionately known as "Brown Sugar," graduated from Long Branch High School in 2013 and later earned a medicate associates degree from Brookdale College. A Howell Township family lost their home and pets in a "devastating" house fire, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page said the Glowzenski family's home of more than 30 years was destroyed in the fire on Tuesday, May 21. A Middletown woman died after she was found unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle, authorities said. Four men and two teens were arrested in Atlantic City, five of whom were accused of selling heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, authorities said. A fire ripped through a house in Monmouth County, authorities said. Howell Township police responded to the fire on Woodstown Drive at around 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, the department said in a news release.
