EagleFest Soars Into Croton in February, Singer Tom Chapin in Lineup
CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Teatown Lake Reservation's 13th Annual Hudson River EagleFest will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson. More than 25 environmental organizations are scheduled to participate in the event, which will feature live eagle shows, bird walks, bus tours, live music, children's activities and food trucks loaded with meals. Almost 200 people were willing to go the distance at Alamo Drafthouse's celebration of 40 years of "Rocky" Saturday. YONKERS, N.Y. -- To sit all through seven Rocky movies, you're going to need the eye of the tiger and be ready to fly high now. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic boxing franchise, the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers is screening all seven Rocky movies on Dec. 3, starting at 11 a.m. Six of the movies, including "Creed" will be screened in 35 mm. Bedford Turkey Trot Kicks Off On Saturday
BEDFORD, N.Y. -- The 12th-annual Bedford Turkey Trot, a mainstay race in Bedford Village, will be held on Saturday morning. The race kicks off at 9 a.m. on Court Road, which is in front of Bedford Village Elementary school. It will end at Bedford Village Memorial Park. The race is 3.1 miles, which means that it is a 5K. Registration is scheduled to take place at the park at 7:45 a.m., with a check-in deadline of 8:30 a.m. for all runners. This year's Turkey Trot reports having 475 entires.
