Feeding Westchester was at the college’s campus in Valhalla for several hours this week handing out bags with a variety of food options for families. Each vehicle that visited the drive-through received a package that would feed a family of four for up to five days. It was limited to Westchester County residents. Born October 25, 1920 and raised in Paris, France, Simonne worked as a translator for the American Red Cross during World War II. Following the end of the war, she immigrated to the United States, settled and worked in New York City, marrying her husband of 46 years, Robert Nolan Quigley in 1948. Pelicans Rescued In Montauk Could Soon Be On Their Way To Bask In Florida Sun It has taken a village of volunteers to help two wayward pelicans survive after the duo failed to fly south and were stranded on Long Island. The two young brown pelicans currently are safely tucked in at the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Center in Hampton Bays, but both are a little worse for the wear after getting too cold when they were hanging out in Montauk near the fishing docks. CUMAC, located in Paterson, is a non-for-profit dedicated to alleviating hunger in Passaic County and throughout New Jersey.
