Car Crashes Into Post Office Entrance In Mount Kisco A Northern Westchester post office was damaged when a vehicle crashed into its entrance.  The incident happened on Wednesday, March 6, when a vehicle crashed into the entrance of the Mount Kisco Post Office at 3 Morgan Dr., according to the Independent Fire Company #13.  The driver was later evaluated by Mount Kisco EMS, firefighters said. The vehicle was eventually removed after the Mount Kisco Building Department checked the structure, according to the department. The cause of the crash was not released.

The study by Boston-based Jason Stone Injury Lawyers looked at 218 locations from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and found places that had at least 500 crashes between 2019 and 2023. 65 Cars Involved In Icy Crashes On Major NJ Roadway At least 65 vehicles were involved in a series of crashes on a major ice-covered road in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crashes were blamed on black ice which often forms at dawn and dusk, according to the Monmouth County sheriff. The first chain-reaction crash occurred at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday on Route 36 westbound at the Route 18 ramp, according to Eatontown police. 2021 Has Been A Very Deadly Year For NJ Vehicle Crashes We haven't even finished the busy holiday season, yet 2021 already is the deadliest year for vehicle crashes in recent years, authorities said. UPDATE: New Jersey State Police counted 652 crashes and 682 deaths so far in 2021 as of Monday Dec. 27 at 10 a.m., as reported here. That compares to 549 vehicle crashes resulting in 587 deaths in all of 2020, Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill said. In these crashes, 171 drivers tested positive for alcohol and 101 were positive for drugs, Shill said.  In 2019, there were 524 vehicle crashes resulting in 558 deaths, Shill said. Ramapo Police On Scene Of Numerous Crashes Police in Rockland are warning motorists to stay off the roads if possible due to slick driving conditions and numerous vehicle crashes being reported. At 9 a.m. Tuesday, Ramapo officials said they were on the scene of so many crashes, mostly minor, that they couldn't count the number. The crash pictured took place around 8 a.m. in the New Hempstead area of the town.  Police are asking drivers to leave plenty of room between the vehicle in front, so there is no need to swerve or jam on the brakes with the slippery conditions.
