Downhill Tow Truck Slams Into North Bergen Home A tow truck towing a USPS truck slammed into the porch of a North Bergen home on Friday, Dec. 29. The truck was going downhill on 73rd at Grand Avenue when the back wheels came off the ground, sending the truck flying down to Liberty Avenue, where the driver crashed into the porch of the home, Police Capt. Jorge Raposo said. Had the truck not crashed into the home it would've gone right into Route 1&9, which was experiencing bumper-to-bumper traffic, the captain said.

Serious Crash Shuts Down Rt.1 South In Linden Rt. 1 South in Linden was closed Tuesday morning for a crash investigation.  The crash occurred around 4:15 a.m., when a 2008 Infiniti struck a 2004 Ford Explorer as it was turning left from Rt. 1 North onto S.
