Suspected Pennypack Park Slasher Has Links To Unsolved Rapes, Murder: Police
The man accused of attacking people with a machete in Pennypack Park has been linked to a string of unsolved rapes and one murder dating back to 2003, according to authorities.
Elias Diaz, 46, was arrested on the park trail on Sunday, Dec. 17, police said previously.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Dec. 19, Philadelphia police, District Attorney Larry Krasner, and FBI officials said Diaz's DNA was linked to evidence collected from the scenes of multiple sexual assaults in Fairmount Park from 2003.

Human Remains ID'd As Poconos Man Missing Since 2012: Coroner
A Monroe County man who went missing more than a decade ago died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to officials.
The remains of Stephen C. Lepore were unearthed at 95 Peet Road in Dreher Township, Wayne County, said the Coroner's Office.
The skeletal remains were discovered by an unknown party on Tuesday morning, Oct. 17, and identified as Lepore using dental records on Thursday, Oct. 19, Coroner Edward R. Howell said.
Lepore, of Tobyhanna, was last seen on the morning of August 17, 2012, driving his 2007 Chevrolet Express, state police investigators have said.

Man, 25, Shot Dead In Bridgeton: Police
A 25-year-old Bridgeton man was shot and killed, authorities said.
On Sunday, Sept. 3, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Bridgeton police responded to Mount Vernon Street on for a report of a gunshot victim, Bridgeton police said.
Police found the victim, identified as Brian Pineda, who resided at the residence, suffering from gunshot wounds, tney said.
Officers immediately attempted live-saving efforts until Bridgeton Fire Dept. EMTs arrived. The victim did not survive and was pronounced dead a shot time later.

Boston Man Accused Of Killing Man in 1984 Picks Up 2nd Murder Charge
A South Boston man with a history of ties to violent gangs, including notorious mobster Whitey Bulger, picked up his second murder charge on Tuesday, March 28, authorities said. Both killings are more than 30 years old.
Michael Lewis, 62, who is being held on a 1984 murder charge, was indicted in the killing of a Boston Housing Authority supervisor in South Boston in April 1993, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said.

The gunmen behind a pair of same-day fatal shootings in Trenton remain at large, authorities said.
William Mitchell, 33, was found with multiple gunshot wounds as Trenton Police officers responded to the Breunig Avenue Park around 1:45 p.m. Monday, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
