Child Struck By School Bus In Monsey, Police Say A 6-year-old Hudson Valley boy is recovering after being struck by a school bus. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 26 in Monsey. According to Det. Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, the child was struck by a school bus on West Maple Avenue.  Franklin said the child suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance Corps. The incident happened on Thursday, March 14 around midnight, when a pedestrian was struck in Yonkers in the area of Central Park Avenue and Clark Street, according to Yonkers Police Sgt. Robert Spink.  Arriving police found a 65-year-old man with an injury to his left ankle that he had sustained after being hit while crossing the road. The incident took place around 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the intersection of White Schoolhouse Road and Slate Quarry Road, Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said. Truck Crashes Into West Orange Restaurant, Driver Hurt A landscaping truck plowed through the front of a restaurant in West Orange Tuesday afternoon, a spokesman for the township confirmed.  The truck left the roadway and struck Huguito's Restaurant & Bar on White Street around 4:40 p.m. The building inspector and West Orange first responders were at the scene Tuesday afternoon.  The driver suffered a leg injury. There were no other reports of injuries.  The incident was still under investigation Wednesday.
