Driver Rescued From Rolled Over Vehicle After Hudson Valley Crash A driver was injured after their vehicle flipped on its side after a crash on a busy Hudson Valley road. The incident happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, April 30 around 8:50 a.m., when a vehicle rolled over at the intersection of Route 9D (Bear Mountain-Beacon Highway) and Peekskill Road in Cold Spring, according to the Cold Spring Fire Company No. 1. Lane Reduction Planned For Busy Roadway In Northern Westchester, Putnam Counties A stretch of a busy roadway in the region will be reduced to a single lane in the coming days to facilitate roadway paving. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that motorists in Northern Westchester and Putnam counties should be aware that Route 9D between Manitou Station Road in Philipstown and Route 6 in Cortlandt will be reduced to a single lane with alternating traffic controlled by individuals with flags. The lane reduction will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday, Sept. 12, through Friday, Sept. 16, officials said.

One Killed In Crash Between School Bus, Vehicle In Area, Police Say One person was killed during a crash between a school bus and a passenger car in the area. The crash took place around 1:34 p.m. on Route 9D at Red Schoolhouse Road in the Town of Fishkill, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash. Police did not reveal if the person killed was on the bus or in the vehicle.
