6 People Hurt When NJ Transit Bus Is Rear-Ended Six people including the driver were injured when a New Jersey Transit bus was rear-ended by another vehicle, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 on bus route 508 at Atlantic and Chelsea avenues in Atlantic City, according to Jim Smith, a NJ Transit spokesman. The bus was stopped when it was struck from behind, Smith said. Twelve people were on board. Five riders plus the driver claimed minor injuries and were taken to the hospital, Smith said.

The 69-year-old New York woman boarded the 164 bus near the corner of Essex Street and Maywood Avenue around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, sat down and immediately notified the driver of an injury, authorities said. NJ Transit Investigating After Man Falls Out Of Train In Secaucus A spokeswoman for NJ Transit blamed "human error" for a frightening incident Monday evening, when the doors opened on the wrong side of a train at the Secaucus Junction station, sending a man spilling out.  The man was not seriously injured and declined medical attention.  The incident occurred aboard a North Jersey Coast Line shortly before 6 p.m. The train was stopped at the station when the doors opened, sending the man tumbling onto the tracks.  The incident is under investigation, the spokeswoman said.
