Stamford Police Promote Pair Two longtime Stamford police officers were promoted by Chief Jon Fontneau during a ceremony on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Police Department. Lt. Diedrich Hohn, who has been a police officer for 22 years, was promoted to captain and will take over patrol units in the downtown area of town, said Capt. Richard Conklin. Hohn, who ran the Youth Bureau and Bureau of Criminal Investigations, also worked with the Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad, is the department’s eighth captain. Also promoted was Sgt.
