Two men have been arrested after police say they robbed then shot someone they knew at an Ocean County home over the weekend.
Christopher Miller, 36, of Paterson, and Marc Manfredonia, 32, of Little Egg Harbor, were met at an East Hudson Drive home by a 36-year-old man around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
There, they physically forced the victim out of the home and demanded money from him, said Billhimer alongside Little Egg Harbor Township Chief of Police James Hawkins.

A sex trafficker in Anne Arundel County will have years to ponder his horrendous mistakes after being sentenced to nearly two decades in prison, federal authorities announced.
Benjamin Lawton, 42, of Glen Burnie, was sentenced to 19 years behind bars followed by 25 years of supervised release for using eight women to work for him as part of a prostitution business he was running.
According to court documents, beginning in 2020, Lawton recruited, enticed, transported, and advertised several women by force, threats of force, or coercion into working as prostitutes.

A Philadelphia man is accused of stalking his ex — a federal employee — and burning her face with a corrosive substance, nearly blinding her in one eye while she was on her way to work, federal authorities announced.
Victor Ortiz, 45, followed his girlfriend as she walked to her office in Philadelphia on May 4, US Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero said. Before she reached the office, Romero threw a "caustic substance" at her face and torso, according to authorities.

Police Investigating Suspicious Death Of Hartford 38-Year-Old As Homicide
Police are investigating as a homicide the suspicious death of a man found by concerned citizens in Connecticut.
The man, identified as Antonio Tosado-Lopez, age 38, of Hartford, was found around 2 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11 in the rear parking lot of 700 Park St., said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police.
According to Boisvert, officers responded to the area after concerned citizens informed the Hartford Fire Department about an unconscious man on Park Street.
When officers arrived, Hartford Fire was providing medical attention to Tosado-Lopez until EMS arrived on the scene. …
21-Year-Old Suspect Nabbed For Prince William County Burglary: Police
A suspect is in police custody after he beat up a man at a Prince William County inn, officials said.
At around midnight on Sept. 29, two men approached the 24-year-old victim at the Potomac Inn, in the 13900 block of Richmond Highway, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The two suspects knocked the victim to the ground, before stealing his money and phone, authorities said.

A Passaic couple were charged with beating two of their children with a variety of objects over the past four years, authorities announced Wednesday.
Alfredo Medina, 48, and his wife, Wanda Fernandez, 30, "never brought the children to receive medical attention at a doctor’s office or hospital after the assaults," one law enforcement official said.

Man Accused Of Hitting Woman In Eye In Front Of Two Children In Area, Police Say
A 47-year-old man was arrested for allegedly hitting a victim in the eye while two children were in the room.
Ulster County resident Jarmel M. Anderson-Fialkow, of Saugerties, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 24, after police responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute in the town of Saugerties, said Chief Joseph Sinagra.
Following a police investigation, it was determined that Anderson-Fialkow had struck the victim in the left eye, causing injury, the chief said.
