It happened in Rockland County on Wednesday, Aug. 30 in Stony Point, according to the New York State Police. A Park police car was stopped in the right southbound lane of the Palisades Interstate Parkway, between exits 15 and 16. A medivac pilot proved that on Wednesday, July 6, after they landed a helicopter on Interstate 395 to rescue a police officer.  Park police requested the helicopter to rescue a motorcycle officer who'd crashed on Maine Avenue, WJLA said.
