Westwood Man, 76, Jailed On Disturbing Human Remains Charges After Sister, 70, Is Found Dead
UPDATE: The 76-year-old brother of a Westwood woman whose body was found at least a week after she died was arrested on related charges.
Joan Winter, 70, formerly of Yonkers and Hartsdale, NY, and her brother Mark, 76, had lived together for several years in what had been their late mother's Kennedy Terrace home on a quiet cul-de-sac near Washington Avenue, those who knew them said.
Two friends who’d gone to the house looking for Joan said Mark told them she’d gone, a source with direct knowledge of the discovery said.

Services Set For Woodbridge High School Teacher, Matawan Football Coach, 45, Who Died Suddenly
Visiting hours and a funeral service are set for Monday for a beloved teacher and assistant football coach who died suddenly Wednesday at Woodbridge High School.
Longtime business teacher Jeffrey Grimm, 45, was found by other staff who called 9-1-1 from the high school.
Grimm, of Union, also served as offensive line football coach for Matawan Regional High School.
A visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 6 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave in Union. A funeral service will follow from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
Grimm was born on Oct. 22, 1976.

Man Found Dead On Park Trail In Hudson Valley
A 73-year-old Hudson Valley man was found dead, apparently of natural causes, in the vicinity of a hiking trail in the area.
The resident of Philipstown, in Putnam County, was found on Monday, May 17 at the Schunnemunk State Park, located in Orange County, in the Town of Cornwall, said NYS Parks officials.
State Park Police, NYS Park Forest Rangers, Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, Town of Cornwall Police, Salisbury Mills FD, Cornwall FD, DEC forest rangers, and local EMS all responded to the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
Missing Hudson Valley Man Found Dead
A missing Hudson Valley man has been found dead following a two-day search by multiple law enforcement agencies.
The body of Sullivan County resident Peter Mitro, 67, of Monticello, was located in a wooded area between Scott Lane and Terry Lane in the Village of Monticello on Wednesday, July 1, said Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone.
Mitro, who suffered from lung disease and required oxygen, was reported missing on Monday, June 29, to Monticello Police.
