More Than 9,000 People Without Power In Stoughton As Heat Wave Winds Down A heat wave is enough to deal with, but throw a power outage on top and the whole narrative changes.  This became a reality for residents in Stoughton as 90% of the town was without power on the morning of Tuesday, July 26, Stoughton Police said on Facebook.  Over 9,000 customers were reportedly without electricity, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) power outage map.  Police said they spoke with National Grid whose crews were on their way to help restore power in the town. All power was eventually restored.
