Morrisville Mayor Brud Anderson Charged In Hit-Run Crash That Injured Other Driver: DA
Charges have been field against the mayor of a suburban Philadelphia town in connection with a hit-and-run crash in April, authorities announced.
Brud Charles Anderson, the 50-year-old mayor of Morrisville, was apparently behind the wheel of a Ford Sport-Trac heading north on North Delmorr Avenue, when he turned left in front of the Chevrolet Equinox, around 3 p.m. on April 13, in Morrisville, the Bucks County District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub said.
Both vehicles stopped, but the Ford suddenly reversed and sped away, heading west on East Trenton Avenue, the DA's office said.

A South Jersey truck driver was charged after 4,000 gallons of fuel spilled in Delaware County last month, authorities said.

Two Jersey City men face several charges for fleeing a traffic stop Monday and striking a woman, leaving her in critical condition, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
Police pulled over a 2018 Nissan Rogue around 10:30 a.m. on Sterling Avenue in Jersey City. The driver, 22-year-old Daquan Edwards, and the passenger Nicholas Williams, jumped out of the car and ran, according to police.

Motorist Caught Shortly After Hit-Run Involving Scooter In Stamford, Police Say
A 50-year-old man was arrested for allegedly hitting a driver on a motor scooter, seriously injuring the driver, and then speeding off.
Sebastiano Peter Sciarretta, of Stamford, allegedly failed to give the right of way to the scooter driver and struck the vehicle around 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, sending the driving flying at the intersection of Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue, said Stamford Police Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett.
The scooter driver suffered several broken bones and other injuries and was transported to Stamford Hospital, he added.
