A movie production studio in Carteret got a financial boost from New Jersey through a $4.7 million state grant. It's part of a $1 billion, 10-acre redevelopment project, according to Carteret Mayor Daniel J. Reiman. The project includes a 1.2 million-square-foot movie production studio complex called "Carteret Stages." There are more QuickCheks in the Garden State. QuickChek, a convenience store known for its subs, recently opened a location in Totowa at 809 Riverview Drive at Route 46 West.
