A man was found dead in a fire that started at a homeless encampment under the Atlantic City Boardwalk, authorities said. Bruce Eder, 67, who last lived in Atlantic City, was killed in the fire, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Hudson Valley Fire Leaves 24 Homeless, Injures 2
At least two residential buildings were destroyed during a two-alarm fire in the Hudson Valley that left 24 people homeless. The incident occurred in Orange County at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at 59 and 61 Carter St., in the city of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, a spokesman for the Newburgh Fire Department, arriving units found the rear of 59 and 61 Carter Street fully involved with fire, which was spreading to the interior of the buildings. A 33-year-old man who was a beloved big brother was found dead under a bridge in Harrisburg, county officials announced on Friday, March 1. Collin Weller was an Orwigsburg native who previously lived in Kutztown and Pottsville, according to his social media. He had been experiencing homelessness and ended up in Harrisburg at some point over the last five years. A woman whose body was found on Carson Beach in South Boston Monday morning, Oct. 16, has been identified as a 29-year-old woman.
