15-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Central Islip, Police Say A 15-year-old was shot and killed overnight on Long Island. It happened at around 3:45 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives said. Four teens were in the woods outside 142 East Suffolk Ave. when they were approached by two teens, police said. The teens fled, but the 15-year-old was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
