Officers from the Eastern District were patrolling near Belair Road and Mayfield Avenue around 6:45 p.m. when they were approached by the victim, who stated that he had been shot on the 3200 block of Harwell Avenue.  According to investigators, the victim, 17, had suffered a gunshot wound to the face, police said.
