Busted, Again: Beacon Man Caught Selling Drugs While In Diversion Program, Police Say A Hudson Valley man who was in a diversion program to avoid jail for selling narcotics in the region has been busted again for allegedly peddling drugs. Dutchess County resident Stefon Graham, age 33, of Beacon, was charged on a six-count indictment on Monday, Oct. 30 by a grand jury following an investigation by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force. According to Det. Sgt. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force reported a significant spike in overdoses in the Dutchess County area over this past weekend. In response, task force agents were deployed into specific areas of Poughkeepsie on Monday, July 24 where two fentanyl dealers were operating in different locations, said Det. Sgt. The audit found that while most people made good use of the system, the program needs legal, enforcement, and data collection tweaks to be more effective.  Launched in 2008, the monitoring program seeks to reduce the number of drug overdoses by tracking controlled substances.  That hasn't happened. The three victims in the Orange County incident - Michael Kenny, 57, Elizabeth Kenny 57, and Alison Miller, 28, all of the Town of Montgomery -were found in a home on Thursday, April 9, after the Town of Montgomery Police responded for the welfare check, said Investigator Steve Ragni. Ragni said that although the investigation is currently ongoing, it appears the three may have died from suspected drug overdoses.
