An 11-year-old girl is being credited with getting herself and a dog out of a Harford County home when a fire broke out in her bedroom on Thursday afternoon. First responders from the Aberdeen Fire Department and nearby agencies were called shortly before 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 8 to a home on Cornell Street, where there was a reported fire inside the child's room following an electrical failure. Video Shows Police Rescuing Dog From Hot Car On Jersey Shore
A dog locked in a hot car for nearly 45 minutes was rescued by police officers this week in Ocean County (scroll for video). The small, white dog appeared to be okay after the tense rescue on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at Sherman Ave and Ocean Terrace in Seaside Heights, as reported by Jersey Shore Fire Response. Deer Chased By Dog Dies After Crashing Through Window Of River Vale Home
It came in as a possible burglary in progress but turned out to be a horrific accident. Sometime before dawn Wednesday, a deer being chased by a dog crashed through the window of a River Vale home, police said. The gravely wounded deer eventually died, Capt. Chris Bulger said. Animal control removed the carcass from the Coopers Lane home, he said. “The dog appeared to be fine and the deer showed no signs of injury from the dog,” the captain said. An oncoming train killed a man and his dog in the area, police said.
