The wreck happened at around 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Hempstead. New York State Police said a Porsche was speeding in the northbound lanes when it struck a Toyota and a Nissan and overturned in the shoulder near exit M5. The Porsche driver, identified as 36-year-old Michael Brown Jr., of Hempstead, died from his injuries, police said. A spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said 61-year-old David Belcher was hit by a pickup on Route 9 South. No hometown for Belcher was given as of Thursday, Jan. 11. Freehold Township police responded to the crash a few hundred feet north of the Route 9 interchange with New Jersey Route 33 just after 5:30 p.m. Officers found Belcher lying in the road and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers were called to North Grace Street and Lancaster Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28, where the dirt bike and a vehicle collided, Reading spokeswoman Maritza Loaiza said.
