No injuries were reported on Monday afternoon when a driver accidentally crashed into Baja Fresh in Montgomery County, officials say. First responders were called to the fast food joint on King Farm Boulevard in Rockville before 3 p.m. on April 22, when a Toyota SUV struck the front of the storefront, causing damage to the recently-renovated eatery. Jersey Shore Code Enforcement Officer Double-Dipped In 3 Towns He Worked For: Prosecutor
A former code enforcement officer who worked for three towns in Ocean County has been charged with official misconduct, authorities said. Michael Ruvo, 56, of Toms River, was charged on Wednesday, Sept. 20, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Among the offenses were instances of double-dipping in the towns he worked for, totaling more than 150 excess hours paid, the prosecutor said. Car Crashes Into Bank In Nutley
A person crashed into the front entrance of the Valley Bank on River Road in Nutley on Friday, May 19, police said. The driver believed their vehicle was in park, police said. No one was injured and the Nutley Fire Department and Code Enforcement inspected the building for safety, police said. The vehicle was removed from the bank, which was secured by private contractors, police said.

Two construction employees were overcome by carbon monoxide while working at a home on Long Island. Firefighters Responding To Newark Kitchen Fire Find Children Living With Insects
Newark firefighters responding to a kitchen fire found something much worse: Bugs and filth. The Newark Fire Division called code enforcement to the first floor of the house on the 800 block of 19th Street, for the presence of children and insects around 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, a city spokeswoman said.
