Double Fatal: 2 Dead In West Orange Crash (Developing) Two people were killed in a car crash in West Orange on Tuesday, Nov. 28, authorities said.  The crash occurred at Northfield Avenue between Old North Avenue and Gregory Avenue, West Orange police said.  The Essex County Prosecutor's Office said they are leading the investigation into the fatal crash. According to CBS New York, the driver may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision. This is a developing story. Check back for more updates.

Long Island May Soon Be Getting A New Area Code The New York State Public Service Commission is proposing a new area code on Long Island, according to a new report. CBS New York reported that the commission wants public feedback on the petition for a new area code in Nassau County. The petition was due to a projection that there will not be any available 516 numbers by the end of 2023.  The commission said existing phone numbers won't be impacted by the change, the news station reported. CBS New York said those who want to provide public comments must submit them online or by mail by the end of the year.
