Epicenter Of Latest NJ Earthquake Just West Of Hamilton Farm Golf Club: USGS
Yet another aftershock rattled New Jersey. This one 2.6 in magnitude just after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, the USGS website shows. This one had an epicenter just east of the Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone (Somerset County). A 2.9 magnitude aftershock was reported last Saturday, April, 27 in the same area. People as far as Massachusetts and Connecticut reported feeling the earthquake, but it appeared to have been clearest felt in the Garden State, with Boonton, Caldwell, and Carteret residents reporting a II or III on the MMI scale.

Former Carteret Middle School Teacher Sexually Assaulted Student: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old former teacher from North Bergen has been charged with sexually assaulting a student at Carteret Middle School, authorities said. Jeffrey Munguia was also charged on Wednesday, April 24 with endangering the welfare of a child, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carterest Police Chief Dennis McFadden. State Grants $2.1M For Renovation Of Jersey City Studio Production Facility
New Jersey is continuing to invest in production. The New Jersey Economic Developing Authority announced on Wednesday, April 10, it has approved $9.5 million in funding to support five projects under the Film and Digital Media Studio Infrastructure Program. Of that grant money, $3.5 million will be going to Jersey City for two projects. A movie production studio in Carteret got a financial boost from New Jersey through a $4.7 million state grant. It's part of a $1 billion, 10-acre redevelopment project, according to Carteret Mayor Daniel J. Reiman. A 23-year-old man from Carteret was killed in a targeted shooting, authorities said. Evan Blozen died as a result of the shooting, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden. Jersey Shore communities are getting $100 million in state grants to make crucial repairs to their boardwalk, officials said. The Boardwalk Preservation Fund money will go to 18 municipalities in Atlantic, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Friday, Feb. 23.
