Man Steals Snickers Bar In Yorktown, Police Say
As proof that the law applies to even the smallest crimes, a 55-year-old man was nabbed after pocketing a Snickers candy bar without paying for it at a Northern Westchester store, police said. The arrest followed an incident on Thursday, Feb. 8 at around 10:30 a.m., when an employee at the COCO Farms store at 3700 Barger St. in Yorktown reported a larceny to the town's police department. According to Yorktown Police, an officer arrived at the store and met with the employee. ID Thief Admits Stealing $10K From Suffolk County Residents
An admitted identity thief is facing prison time after stealing nearly $10,000 from two Long Island victims. Donald Archibald, age 44, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of grand larceny and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Friday, Feb. 9. Prosecutors said Archibald obtained a Suffolk County resident’s address and personal information from the dark web in April 2023 and used it to make a fake driver’s license with that person’s information but his own photo. A Hudson County man who posed as a nurse on Facebook and the Hinge dating app kidnapped, assaulted and sexually abused several women in New Jersey and New York, federal authorities charged.
