Police in Troy were called at around 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, with reports that a woman had been stabbed at the Best Western located on River Street. The suspect had fled the scene by the time officers arrived, according to Troy Police. Investigators believe he and the victim know each other. The woman was driven by private vehicle to the hospital and was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Nobody else was injured. Police did not say what led up to the attack. Wall Partially Falls On Worker At Haverhill Best Western Demolition Site: Police A man was hospitalized after he was partially covered by a falling wall, officials say. The worker was injured around 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17 while working to demolish a wall of the Haverhill Best Western, located at 401 Lowell Avenue, Haverhill Fire Chief Robert O'Brien said.  The worker suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident, O'Brien said. He was transported to a local hospital.  No information has been released about the cause of the incident.

Man Nabbed For Prostitution, Sex Trafficking At Long Island Hotel, Police Say A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly promoting prostitution and sex trafficking on Long Island. Robert Richards, age 36, of Springfield Gardens in Queens, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Rockville Centre following an investigation at an area hotel, said the Nassau County Police. According to Narcotics Vice Squad detectives, an investigation at the Best Western located at 173 Sunrise Highway led to the arrest of Richards. Richards was charged with sex trafficking and promoting prostitution. He will be arraigned on Friday, Feb. 26, in Mineola.
