19-Year-Old ATVer Drags Trooper 200 Yards While Fleeing In Sand Lake, Police Say A 19-year-old man is accused of injuring a New York State Police trooper in the region while attempting to flee on an ATV. The Rensselaer County incident happened at around 5 p.m. Friday, March 1, in Sand Lake on Johnny Cake Lane. State Police said the trooper stopped Joseph Dominy, of Averill Park, for illegally operating an ATV. Dominy was reportedly uncooperative and attempted to drive away. ATV Driver Plowing Snow Killed In Plunge Down Embankment: Butler Police A 69-year-old woman was killed when the ATV she was using to plow snow went down an embankment on Tuesday, Feb. 13, Butler police said. Police in Butler responded to a residence on Washington Street on a report of an unresponsive woman under an ATV.  Upon arrival, police discovered the woman had been plowing the snow in her driveway when her ATV went down an embankment in the back of the property. Her family had attempted resuscitation and despite resuscitation attempts by first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

2 Teens Hurt In Lehigh Valley ATV Crash: State Police Two teenagers were injured when the ATV they were riding collided with a sedan in the Lehigh Valley, authorities said. The crash happened on Mountain Road and Ashfield Road in Washington Township (Lehigh County) Tuesday, June 28, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky said. A 13-year-old drove the all-terrain vehicle, with a 14-year-old passenger, the trooper said. The pair were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for treatment. Authorities Searching For ATV Rider Wanted In Suffolk County Hit-Run Crash Authorities on Long Island are asking the public for help as they investigate a hit-and-run crash involving an ATV and a parked SUV. At about 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, a male was riding a black and yellow ATV on Whitetail Lane in Commack, when he struck a parked, unoccupied 2013 Jeep Wrangler, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. The boy was riding an ATV and turning behind a garage on the property of a Hazel Street property at the same time as the trailer around 11:40 a.m. in Delano, Pennsylvania State Police said.
