Child Bicyclist Struck In Ephrata: Police A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, police announced.  The boy was hit by an 83-year-old Akron driver's vehicle after around 7:40 a.m. on July 8, 2023, Ephrata police explained.  The crash happened at the intersection of South State and West Fulton streets in Ephrata Borough.  The boy had failed to stop at a red traffic light and was not wearing a bicycle helmet, according to the police.  The boy was transported to Penn Health-Lancaster General Hospital with "injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening" the police said. Drowning Boy, 9, Resuscitated After He's Pulled From Pool At Boys & Girls Club A drowning 9-year-old boy was resuscitated by staff members after being pulled from the pool at the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton on Thursday, responders said. The Morris Plains youngster may have had a medical emergency shortly after 2:30 p.m. July 6, they said. "Staff noticed immediately, pulled the child from the pool and conducted CPR," Clifton Police Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said. The child then began breathing again, the lieutenant said. He was conscious and alert after being taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center, Bracken said.

Missing Boy, 9, Found Dead In Bucks County Pond The body of a 9-year-old boy who had gone missing was pulled from a Pennsylvania pond on Monday evening, June 19, officials said. Police arriving at the pond located at Vaux and Hickory drives in New Britain Borough saw a boy’s bicycle with a fishing pole next to it, around 5:50 p.m., the Central Bucks Regional Police Department said.
