Walter Panas HS Inducts Three Into Hall Of Fame

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Walter Panas High School inducted three former student athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Sept. 11 at halftime of the home football game.

This year's inductees include: 

  • Jamie Irving, Class of 2002, Five years varsity lacrosse, Captain (2002) All League, All Section, Journal New First Team, All American. Also played varsity basketball and field hockey. Former assistant varsity girls lacrosse coach for the combined Panas/Lakeland team 2007-2010. Currently lacrosse head coach at Somers High School. Hofstra University (2006). 
  • Terry Rancier, (Coach), Coach Rancier retired as a history teacher in 2013. Coached for 40 years at Panas including varsity softball (1986-1992 and 2006), JV softball four league titles. Also coached volleyball (1974-1995) and bowling (2000-2013), 2007 Boys Sectional Champions, 2000 Girls Sectional Champs. Also coached baseball and girls basketball at Panas.
  • Alison Rogers, Class of 2003, Lacrosse four years, Captain 2003 Member US U-19 World Championship team 2003 All American, All Section (200-2003), All County (2000-2003) and All League (2000-2003). Con Edison Scholar Athlete Award winner. Academic All American. Also played varsity basketball and field hockey, Georgetown University (2007).
