Pace University Athletics, Wfas Radio Renew Two-Year Deal

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University Athletics and WFAS have agreed to a two year extension of their agreement for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 school years.

WFAS will broadcast all home football games for the 2015 season as well as all home men's and women's basketball games for the upcoming 2014-15 season and all Northeast-10 Conference doubleheaders for the 2015-16 season.

The partnership between Pace Athletics and WFAS will also include a 60 minute pre-game show as well as 15 minute post-game wrap-up for all football home contests in 2015 as well as a 30 minute pre-game show for all home basketball games for the next two seasons.

"We are pleased to continue our partnership with Pace University Athletics, and to be aligned with such talented & hard working people at the very forefront of the tremendous growth we experience together and plan for in the near future," said WFAS's Marty Sheehan.

The two-year agreement includes regular appearance opportunities by student-athletes and coaches on two of the station's sports talk radio shows.

The selected student-athletes or department representatives will appear for three minutes on a weekly installment of "The Lunch Card" every Friday during the noon to 1 p.m. lunch hour as well as The Scorecard with Chris D'Angelo and Jordan Griffith from noon to 2 p.m. every Sunday.

Pace will receive a weekly 60 second advertisement spot on the station, while WFAS will have ticket promotions throughout each doubleheader adding to the game day atmosphere for Pace Basketball games for the next two years.

In addition, each radio broadcast will be meshed with the video broadcast on www.paceuathletics.com/watchlive

The first live broadcast on WFAS AM 1230 in 2014-15 will be on Wednesday, Nov. 19, as the men's and women's basketball teams host The College of Saint Rose in an NE-10 Conference doubleheader.
