Hall took over as Mercy College president in May 2014 after serving the previous seven years as Austin Peay's president.
"I was attracted by Mercy College and its students." said President Hall
During Hall’s years at Austin Peay, both President Barack Obama and Bill Gates praised the university for its innovative use of technology to support student success.
One of Hall's main challenges at Mercy College is to buck a national trend of declining graduation rates for college students.
"We understand that what we need in this country is more college graduates," Hall said. "So all of us now, Mercy College especially, focus on how we produce not simply a college student but a college graduate."
Hall discussed his thoughts on some of his immediate and long-term goals at Mercy with Daily Voice Founder and CEO Carll Tucker in the latest installment of a new series "Daily Voice Leaders," which spotlights many of the key decision makers in the area.
Hall also discussed:
The challenges of being the President of Mercy College.
The rate of college graduates in America.
Popular majors at Mercy College.
