The election forum will take place from 7- 8:30 p.m. in the Croton-Harmon High School Auditorium located at 36 Old Post Road South. The budget forum will take place at the Croton Free Library from 7 to 9 p.m.

The May 21 election ballot includes six candidates who are running for two open Croton-Harmon Board seats. The purpose of the event is to provide a means for the Croton-Harmon parents and community to meet and learn about the potential candidates.

The five trustee candidates competing for two open seats are Yariv Alpher, Brian Aspinwall, Iris Bugliosi, Joshua Diamond, and Jason Stern.  The two incumbents who have decided not to seek another term are Teri Lukin and Beth Roth.

The forum agenda will consist of candidate introductions of two minutes and moderator directed written questions to the candidates submitted from the audience upon arrival, with responses limited to two minutes. Candidate will then be allowed to make closing remarks limited to two minutes.

“It’s a panel discussion, not a debate.” explained Croton CET co-president Maria Slippen. "We have questions we’re going to ask them and we’re going to take questions from the audience when they arrive right at 7 p.m.”

Attendees of the event will include members of the Croton-Harmon PTAs, Croton-Harmon administration and staff, Croton-Harmon parents and residents of the Croton-Harmon community and will be moderated by representatives from the League of Women Voters.

Tuesday’s community budget forum will give voters one last chance to ask questions about the adopted budget before the May 21 vote.

“If anyone has any questions about the budget that they would like to have answered before they decide whether to vote for or against the budget, the superintendent and the two assistant superintendents will be there,”
