Croton-Harmon School District Budget Passes

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Voters in Croton said yes to the school district's 2015-2016 budget Tuesday.

Voters approved the budget 441 votes to 113 votes. Incumbents Andrea Furey and Giuseppina Miller ran unopposed for another term on the Board of Education.

The $46.07 million budget carried a tax increase of about 1.64 percent.

A ballot proposition to spend $300,000 on new buses was approved 411 votes to 131 votes.

The Croton Free Library budget was approved 448 votes to 96 votes.
