State Police from the Stormville barracks arrested Elizabeth Rosa of Beacon Wednesday night after she was stopped on the Taconic State Parkway for traveling 15 miles per hour below the posted speed limit and for failing to maintain her designated lane of travel, according to police.

A subsequent investigation revealed that Rosa was intoxicated and she was charged with Felony DWI under Leandra’s Law for having a 14-year-old passenger in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.

Rosa supplied a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .08 percent and was released on her own recognizance by the direction of the Town of Beekman Justice Court.

She was scheduled to appear in the Town of East Fishkill Court at a later date and time.
