New York State Police troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks stopped 19-year-old Clinton Corners resident Julian Muhlemann at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Thursday morning after he committed a series of traffic violations.

During the subsequent stop, it was determined that Muhlemann was in possession of stolen Connecticut license plates, leading to his arrest. While his car was impounded, police found Alprazolam inside the vehicle, which had not been prescribed to Muhlemann.

Muhlemann was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of stolen property and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors. He was released on his own recognizance and is due to return to the Town of Lagrange Justice Court next month to answer the charges.
