Suspect At Large In Armed Robbery Attempt At Route 202 Mobil Station

State police are seeking the public's help in the search of a suspect in an armed robbery attempt at a gas station on Route 202 in Cortlandt Manor early Saturday morning.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, the suspect entered the Mobil store at 2225 Crompond Road (Route 202), and displayed a weapon to the clerk, according to police.

The clerk resisted, and following a struggle, the suspect fled on foot, westbound on 202, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male of light olive complexion, overweight, with no facial hair and a Spanish accent. He was wearing a blue winter coat with a hood, dark green pants, a light brown shirt, light-colored footwear, a dark covering on the lower portion of his face, dark gloves and a black hat, according to police.
