I-84 Reopens Following Crash

All lanes of I-84 in Orange County are back open after a two-vehicle crash with a fuel leak closed all lanes of the roadway during most of the morning commute, according to the New York State Police.

The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m., Wednesday when the driver of one of the vehicles struck the back of the vehicle in front of him in Port Jervis, said Trooper Steve Nevel.

The impact caused a large amount of fuel to leak onto the roadway, causing the shutdown, he added.

Crews were able to contain and clean-up the leak within a couple hours. One person with injured, with a minor cut to the head. They were taken to Orange Medical Center for treatment.
