RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- A 37-year-old Rhinebeck woman has been arrested on a felony robbery charge in connection with Sunday night's holdup at a Citgo gas station on Mill Street.

Nicole Doble of Village Green apartments in Rhinebeck was arrested early Monday in the Village of Hyde Park in connection with the 10 p.m. robbery of the gas station at 6365 Mill St., police said.

The suspect threatened that she was carrying a weapon during the crime, leading to a first-degree robbery charge, police said.

Arrested about 2 a.m. Monday in Hyde Park with Doble was 48-year-old William Geiger of Poughkeepsie. Geiger was released on a misdemeanor charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, but does not face a robbery charge, according to Sgt. Peter Dunn, a spokesman for the Village of Rhinebeck Police Department.

Doble was arraigned on the felony robbery charge and sent to Dutchess County Jail on $100,000 bail, according to police.

Geiger was released on an appearance ticket, police said. He is due back in Village of Rhinebeck Court at 3:30 p.m.on Sept. 14.

Rhinebeck police said the suspects were stopped shortly after Sunday's robbery in Hyde Park and were apprehended with help from the Hyde Park Police Department, the New York State Police Rhinebeck Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and New York State Police Troop K Forensic Investigation Unit (FIU).
