Armed, Dangerous Cortlandt Fugitive, Accomplice Remain At Large

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Police continue to search for a Cortlandt man who is believed to be armed and dangerous and who was last seen in the area early Tuesday morning.

George J. Foster, 33, is described as a white male, 5 feet, 6 inches, and approximately 200 pounds, police said. He is wanted for menacing with a firearm and for outstanding warrants in New York and South Carolina is still being sought by New York State Police.

He was last seen on the 200 block of Locust Avenue in the Town of Cortlandt Tuesday at about 3:30 a.m., according to police.

Foster may be may be accompanied by Renee Jones, 33, who is also wanted by the State Police from an alleged unrelated incident, said police.

Foster should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

There was a large ongoing state police presence in the Locust Avenue area early Tuesday, said police.

If Foster is observed, please do not attempt to take any action on your own, and call 9-1-1 immediately, according to police.
