Thomas Joseph McLaughlin, 87, Of Cortlandt Manor, WWII Navy Veteran

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- Thomas Joseph McLaughlin, a resident of Cortlandt Manor, died Nov. 24. He was 87.

McLaughlin was born Feb. 4, 1927, in New York City, to John and Catherine Tierney McLaughlin. He was a communicant at Assumption Church in Peekskill. He served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. 

McLaughlin is survived by two sons, Thomas M. (Charlene) and John D. (Ave) McLaughlin; his daughter, Elizabeth A. (Clifford) Purdy; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Flora F.; and a son, James A. McLaughlin.

Calling hours are Saturday, Nov. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt St., Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 1, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Cortlandt Manor, followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-On-Hudson.
