Stephen C. Meier, 98, Of Cortlandt

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – Stephen C. Meier, of Cortlandt Manor, died Wednesday, Aug. 5. He was 98.

Meier was born on Oct. 8, 1916 in Brooklyn to Adolf and Margaret Bissert Meier.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He was the assistant chief engineer in the building maintenance department at Valeria Home in Cortlandt Manor.

He is survived by son Ralph and his wife Laurie of Sudbury, Mass., daughter Christa L. Ronci of Croton-on-Hudson; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sisters Madeline Meier and Katherine LeFevre.

Meier was predeceased by his wife, Gisela, son-in-law Frank W. Ronci, sister Elizabeth Franklin and brothers Adolf Jr., William and Charles Meier.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, 313 N. James St., Peekskill.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
