Robert Weidenhamer, 90, Of Cortlandt Manor

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. - Robert Weidenhamer of Cortlandt Manor died Saturday, Dec. 14. He was 90.

Weidenhamer was born Oct. 12, 1923, to Andrew and Emily Weidenhamer, he grew up in Mamaroneck. He graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1942. After graduation, he served during WWII in the Navy in the Pacific Theatre on PT Boat 480 32 RON as a first class radio/radar operator.

After the war, he served in the Air National Guard as a tech sergeant. Following his time in the service he worked for the New York Telephone, he married Johanna Hunt, they lived in Cortlandt Manor, where they raised their sons. He was a lifelong member of the Mamaroneck Elks Club.

Weidenhamer is survived by his sons, Kevin Weidenhamer of Michigan, Timothy (Mary) Weidenhamer and Andrew (Lucia) Weidenhamer; and three granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Johanna (Hunt); and brothers, Daniel and Frederick.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, followed by interment at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla.
