CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. - Miriam E. Bennett of Cortlandt Manor died Sept. 10. She was 79.
Bennett was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Yonkers, to Frederick and Lillian Brown Evans. She had been a volunteer at Hudson Valley Hospital.
Bennett is survived by her husband, Angelo Paparella of Cortlandt Manor; children, Gordon (Margaret) Bennett of Ontario, Canada, Scott (Stacy) Bennett of Putnam Valley and Miriam (Rob) Marschall of Long Valley, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and brother, Fred Evans. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gordon Bennett.
Calling hours are Sunday, Sept. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15 at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
