BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- Helen Burress of Buchanan died on Saturday, April 23, She was 86.
She was born in Newark in 1929 to Mary and Joseph Uninsky.
She was a longtime resident of Buchanan and parishioner of St. Christopher's Church.
Burress is survived by her sister, Josephine Papula; and her children, John, Thomas, Oscar, Patricia and Stephen.
She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar Burress.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road. in Montrose.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, at St. Christopher's Church in Buchanan, followed by burial at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
