Kerr was born Jan. 27, 1927, to Grace and Lester Congdon. She was a 1944 graduate of Verona High School and a 1948 graduate of Alfred University. After her marriage she moved to Croton Nov. 1, 1962. She was a parishioner of the Asbury Methodist Church.
Kerr is survived by her siblings, Pat Congdon Wightman of Bath, E. Lester Congdon of East Wallingford, Vt., and Richard Congdon of Chester, N.J.; children, Virginia Henderson, Elizabeth Nelson, Robert, James and John Kerr; sons-in-law, Eric Henderson and Ted Nelson; daughters-in-law, Carmen Kerr, Ea Kerr and Myrna Ortiz; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Jim.
Calling hours are Friday, July 19 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Edward Carter Funeral Home in Croton. Memorial service will be held at Asbury Methodist Church Saturday July, 20 at 11 a.m.
