Born in 1933 in Yonkers, Carroll graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School.
She is survived by her loving brother George William Gilmore Jr., of Montrose, and her five children, Debra Ellen Amarante’, Bruce Truxton Garrison, Scott Halsey Garrison, Craig Houston Garrison, and Darcy Lynn Orand.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren of whom she also loved more than anything in the world and spoke of nearly every day.
She loved unconditionally all those who entered her life and kept a sense of humor until the end. She had a passion for painting beautiful works of art and decorating her home so that all those who visited were welcomed into a warm and loving environment.
She cared deeply for the poorest of children of this world and was a very giving person even when she had none. She will be forever missed.
