George Secor, 77, Retired Cortlandt Manor Engineer

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – George F. Secor of Cortlandt Manor died Jan. 7. He was 77.

He was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Brooklyn to George J.F. and Florence Nightingale Secor. He graduated from Ossining High School and attended Keystone Junior College.

Secor joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served four years, attaining the rank of petty officer second class in electronics. He was a retired engineer at Watson Research Center. He enjoyed target and trap shooting.

Secor is survived by his wife, Nancy Calam Secor; two sons, Andrew (Daisy) and William; a sister, Margaret Geissler; and a grandson.

A memorial gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ossining Women's Club. Dorsey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
